Now there's another truly great guitarist .. I don't think they get any better than old Chet ... Always a master at both tecnnique and gorgeous phrasing ... By the way, he's kind of using a "Travis Picking" style, although in this case, it's much more complex than what one would normally consider basic Travis picking. This is essentially classical guitar playing with a somewhat country or ragtimey feel to it, I'd say.
p.s. Sometimes I think I'm sending these links more to myself, than you .... because I'm not sure if you have any interest in these .... :) But, I guess it would be like you pointing to a very accomplished windsurfer, ... and pointing him/her out on the water to me and saying, "Take a look...!!" Now, that's windsurfing!
